Five classes: Wednesday evenings from 6:30-9 p.m., Sept. 11 - Oct. 9, 2024 @ Anthology Studio, 77 Suffolk St. W.

The Clyde Jumpsuit from Elizabeth Suzann is one of my favourite all-round basics - it's so easy to throw on a single piece and look effortlessly laid-back and be comfy at the same time. (And the ready-to-wear Clyde Jumpsuits from Elizabeth Suzann sell for $583 CAD - so you're making a high end slow fashion piece at a total bargain!)

From the designer:

The Clyde Jumpsuit is a great all-purpose jumpsuit with large, crescent-shaped pockets spanning the side of the jumpsuit leg. Unique, three-panel design results in vertical seams along the center front and back of each leg in addition to the inseam, allowing for limitless fit adjustments and style changes. Use this classic, building-block jumpsuit as a jumping-off point for a variety of wardrobe staples that will serve you well for years. In a soft linen, this jumpsuit feels seasonless and relaxed. In a heavier canvas or wool, it's indestructible.

Size Range: XXS-4XL and three length options (Short, Regular, and Tall). Please select your desired length at checkout so I can print the correct pattern for you!

See the detailed size guide and finished garment measurements here.

Sewing Level: Confident beginner to intermediate. Basic sewing skills and some experience with garment sewing will be helpful, but honestly isn't super necessary.

Recommended Fabrics:

Medium-weight fabrics with no stretch. Linen, cotton, hemp, in plainweaves or canvas will work well. Lighter weight fabrics will add more drape, and heavier fabrics will result in a more structured garment. Ensure that whatever material you choose can hold up in the pocket area.

See detailed fabric requirements here.

Note: I now have a curated selection of fabrics available to shop! Most of them would be excellent for the Clyde Jumpsuit (washed linen would be incredible, any of the twills, and the washed linen-cotton blend soft and wearable and excellent for beginners).
